Say hello to the newest member of our team

We’ve been having a great time helping you make the most of your city over the last year, and we’re thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of our team: Ana Sofia Knauf!

We’re going to have some fun, all. Pictured from left: Evergrey local director Mónica Guzmán, storytelling producer Ana Sofia Knauf, and WhereBy.Us storytelling director Anika Anand.

Ana Sofia just celebrated her seventh year in Seattle. She was most recently at The Stranger, where she covered neighborhoods and immigration, and she’s also written some fantastic stuff for Grist, The Seattle Globalist, and The Puget Sound Business Journal. When she’s not writing, she says, she’s eavesdropping on bus gossip, cooking, swing dancing, or forgetting to water her plants.

Ana Sofia starts her new gig as a full-time storytelling producer today. We’re lucky to have her, and you’re going to love the good stuff she helps us make for you.

Now, to update you on what we, your Evergrey cofounders, are up to…

Mónica Guzmán is heading up The Evergrey as its local director. She’s writing and managing the newsletter, finding fun story ideas and partnerships, and moving around the city to get to know the strong local communities you’re a part of and look for all the best ways to keep you plugged in. When you hit reply to our newsletters, she’s the one who replies back. Usually, she hopes, with something interesting. Got a fun idea for a story, project, or possible partnership, or a point-by-point critique of her excessive use of the raised hands emoji? (It’s her favorite!) Reach out directly at [email protected].

Anika Anand is starting an exciting new gig as the storytelling director for WhereBy.Us, the parent company that publishes The Evergrey, The New Tropic in Miami, and soon, more awesome publications that help people explore, enjoy, and understand their cities. In that capacity, she’s heading up the storytelling team across the company and right here in Seattle, making sure that all of our stories, videos, and projects connect you as much as possible to the city you love. Got ideas or feedback on what we make? Reach her at [email protected].

Got questions? You know you can email us any time at [email protected].

We’ll see you in your inbox.
