Better Together: A Volunteering Field Trip to Mary’s Place
The Evergrey isn’t just about bringing you the top news stories of the day. We’re committed to helping you discover new ways to get involved in your city and make a difference. One of the things we’ve heard our readers and members ask for is more volunteer opportunities.
So, one Saturday a month, we’ll be joining forces with a local nonprofit that’s doing amazing work in the Seattle area. We’ll get our hands dirty — and get to know each other better — while we support the mission of these great organizations.
To kick things off in July, we’re teaming up with Mary’s Place, a local nonprofit that provides safe, inclusive shelter and services that support women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness. We’ll be helping that our at the organization’s North Seattle family shelter at 1155 N 130th St.
Volunteer space is limited to accommodate each organization’s specific needs and tasks, so sign up quick to reserve your spot.
We’re excited to see you out there as we work together to live like we live here and give back to our city. 💪
