Want to make the most of your city? Join us for a series of fireside chats as we explore what it takes to do big things in Seattle with locals who are making their mark.

First up is Dan Shapiro, CEO of the 3D laser printer company Glowforge, the most pre-ordered product in history. Dan sold a company to Google, created the most backed tabletop game in Kickstarter history, has been awarded a dozen U.S. patents, and currently serves as technical consultant to his 8-year-old twins’ lemonade stand.

Presented by Wealthsimple and moderated by The Evergrey editor Mónica Guzmán, our Sparked Series features Seattle stories that will help you unlock your own. What was it like when they first arrived here? How has it changed? What did they do to thrive in Seattle? What’s their advice on what it takes to feel powerful and successful in our creative, challenging city?
