Forterra NEXT: Dig in and Celebrate Earth Day at Duwamish Alive!

As a part of the Duwamish Alive event, Forterra NEXT will join hundreds of volunteers to restore the Duwamish Hill Preserve, a 10.5 acre parcel of historical, cultural and ecological significance in Tukwila. The Forterra NEXT committee–Joe Inslee, Nora Johnson, and Alanna Peterson–will lead us in tackling invasive weeds and spreading mulch to help native plants thrive. Bring spare change because after we are going to go out for happy hour at a nearby brewery!

Where: Duwamish Hill Preserve

Provided for you: Restoration training, tools, gloves, snacks and lunch!

You should bring: Boots or comfortable athletic shoes, work clothes, appropriate layers for rain and sun, refillable water bottle, and friends!

RSVP: Email Forterra’s Community Relations Manager, Lauren Zondag.

Forterra NEXT: 20- and 30-somethings driven by a shared commitment to secure the places—urban, rural and wild—that are keystones of a sustainable future for all.
