Foundation’s Sharing Passions: Pickling with the Seattle Pickle Co.
We are excited to announce a new class we are offering in August in partnership with Seattle Pickling Class… PICKLING 101!!! We are going to explore the art of making our own pickles with Chris Coburn, a man so passionate about pickles he has made it his profession.
During this time of year, he is going through between 2,000 and 3,000 pounds of cucumbers a week! That is absolutely absurd and we don’t think we could’ve found a better master to guide us through as we each get to make our own jar of pickles to take home.
We thank our wonderful partner MAKERS Workspace, who we will be doing a monthly series with to help us celebrate the passion stories of some of Seattle’s unique and diverse producers and artisans.
Please come join us on Wednesday, August 15th for a fun night of connection, learning, and of course, pickles. (He also makes a damn fine bloody mary mix and there may or may not be a special surprise on that note as well…)
