Lessons Learned from a Decade in Community Management
Over the last 10 years, organizations have struggled to understand how to leverage community’s power. Perhaps you have also encountered what a challenge it can be to prove your community’s value and get the resources you need. Imagine finding a leader you could look up to who had been there and could guide you along this pathway.
That leader is Jennifer Sable Lopez.
Jennifer has been on the front lines of defining community’s value for over 15 years. Today she is the Director of Community at WeLocalize, one of the largest language service providers in the world. She travels the globe bringing together her community from Beijing to the Netherlands and beyond. She is the former Senior Director of Community at Moz, where she grew and engaged one of the most effective community teams the industry has ever seen.
Her specialties range from lean community building to team development to SEO to evangelism to social media and beyond. In our fireside chat, we’ll touch on the following:
- How to gain influence in your organization
- How to build a community if you’ve never built one before
- What to do if you are having trouble delegating and prioritizing your work
- The skills of a great community manager
- And even more!
