🌆 Today is not Columbus Day in Seattle

Thanks for tagging #theevergrey on Instagram, Pamela!

Isn’t that a gorgeous gradient? Reader Pamela Glass snapped this shot while wandering around the ever-changing South Lake Union and dreaming of visiting all the coffee shops.

“I’ve been venturing deeper and deeper into SLU on my lunch break walks because I usually ever only drive through and it happens to be the perfect 1 hour round trip,” she wrote on Instagram. “While I have very mixed feelings about the rash of corporate looking buildings that have sprung up in the last 10 years, I appreciate that probably 80 [percent] of their surfaces just reflect our lovely skies. I particularly liked this rainbow apartment building. It seems an odd choice compared to the rest of neutral colored Amazonia, but I like a little joy sprinkled into my mundanity. 💖💜💙”

Now we’ll help you sprinkle some joy into your plans this week…

Things to do

Today is the last day to do it online and by mail. Last month, almost 300 of you told us whether you’d already registered to vote — and 93 percent (🎉) said you’re set for the Nov. 6 election.

For the 7 percent of you who said you’d get registered before the deadline, this is your friendly reminder to get it done. 😉 » Get registered here.

Happy registering, Seattle. — The Evergrey
