Central District: A diverse residential and business community for Seattle to explore

With a deep history as one of Seattle’s oldest and most diverse residential neighborhoods, the Central District has many stories to tell. The area is filled with historic homes, a wide variety of restaurants (we’re totally craving breakfast at Cafe Selam), and a thriving arts and culture scene.

By partnering with The Evergrey, Seattle’s Office of Economic Development wants to help shine a light on the diverse people and local businesses that make today’s Central District a special place to live, work and play.

The goal of Seattle’s OED is simple: With a focus on building up small businesses and strengthening our local economy, the OED works to foster an economy where no matter who you are, who you love, or where you’re from, you can achieve your career and business goals right here in Seattle. Over the past three years, OED’s Only in Seattle grant program provided over $500,000 to the Central Area Collaborative to support business technical assistance, district marketing, and events, and partnership and capacity building. Beyond funding, the OED team builds close relationships with the incredible business owners in the Central District (and across Seattle) who make our city so special.

We’re excited to help the OED tell those stories.

The Evergrey Creative Studio works with brands and organizations to help them tell local stories, create meaningful engagement, and connect in Seattle.

Our goal is a more human take on advertising that’s about mission, people, and being a part of making this city an even better place to live. If you’re into that, we’d love to chat about it. Reach out to us at [email protected], and check out our ethics and sponsorship policy here.
