Video: Seattle’s spot for fresh dance moves

Go to Washington Hall on a Monday night and you’ll step onto “the best floor in Seattle.”

Washington Hall is an iconic, historic place that’s played host to the likes of Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, and Jimi Hendrix. But on “Soulful Mondays,” it’s a playground for anyone who’s into street-style dance and wants to master the moves — whatever their level.

Soulful Mondays are just one example of the many community events put on by 206Zulu, a service org that’s all about celebrating hip-hop culture — and keeps the beat at the heart of the Central District.
